Talos principle stars world 211/28/2023 ![]() ![]() not the intended solution, but I don't ever want to go back to that level). Crater (rescue + two stars) took me the longest so far, probably closely followed by Weathertop (again - in this one, I stumbled across the ability to hop onto double boxes from the disconnected fan. holy shit), nothing really bugged me in that one. not too worried.įor worlds 3 and 4 - how do these chalk up compared to the Crater? I'd say aside from the sheer scale of world 1 (the 'open field' level gave me a whole new appreciation for the platforming/parkour you can get away with in this game. probably have to get a laser through a purple barrier by the looks of it. On a side note - I think I still have 2 stars left in this world :/ one of them I can see, in the level with the mines. So, I essentially stumbled across a solution, but is there any way with the 6 lasers provided, to have the blue and red lasers not cross paths? I ended up accidentally blasting a laser into the middle ground, and then had an "aha!" moment, and was easily able to solve it from there (I had also prototyped criss crossing the lasers, and quickly getting the box in the air, tripping that beam, starting up the one on my side, and hopping over, but the box would be too far over each time). I tried so many different things, and reset SO many times. And then attempting to get the red one to also go clockwise, much longer route, over to the red fan. I unfortunately spent a good hour trying EVERY WAY imaginable to loop the blue beam the short way across to the blue fan (so it crossed the area where you first get the jammer). I also after found that you can steal a box from bunny hop (found a dead robot dude along the way) and just hop in with the jammer - cheap as f*ck haha, and I like it, but I'm happy I didn't resort to this on my first go. After finishing the second star, I noticed many people solved the first one by bouncing lasers out of the barriers and pulling a quicker route. I had a floating laser in the middle fueling one right in front of the star, which self-sustained by also feeding into the fan, so only needed two lasers for that part, the rest for the blue. I kept all lasers inside the barriers, but floated a few over. Last night, I spent about 2.5 hours, and managed to get both stars in this area, but for the middle-floating star, I am wondering if it's 100% necessary to float a laser out into the middle area?įor the first star, I kind of just flipped the lasers so it was a mirror image of what I did to get the first fan. I have a question about what the most 'legitimate' method of solving this would be? ![]()
